I hate how XP assumes you are stupid and need help each time you plug in media. Somehow, while ripping some CD's using Media player I associated CD's to ripping songs. I don't want that to be my default. How do I change it?
Next... Is there an easy way to sync folders on different hard drives? |

In any file manager window..
tools/folder options.
Files types tab.
Find the file type that has been wrongly associated, and pick a new program.
NOT checking the "do this every time" selection unless you're really sure you want to do that is a good idea. |

OK... I figured out the CD thing. I just right clicked the drive in Explorer and changed the autoplay properties.
Now does anyone know how to sync folders on different drives easily? |

Never tried this ... but I'm pretty sure it'll take a piece of third-party software. Don't know of any built-in Windows functionality that will do this.

Have you tried SyncToy for Windows XP It's a free Microsoft Powertoy with Photogs in mind. Syncs folders, cf, pdas etc...
Edit: Also XP users might note and try another app MS has out there: XP Color control Panel Applet which in short is a central Control Panel interface for managing ICC color profiles and ICM 2.0 color settings across the system (applications).
