Yes, the 80's.

What sweet memories. My college phase. A time for learning equaled a time for burning, and I don't mean the lights.

Yeah, Penalty Backgammon playing Acey Ducey, using the doubling cube was a great pass time, and became good at. I mean, I liked to burn back then, alot, but playing Acey Ducey with the doubling cube made for huge hits, and alot of smoke.

Playing Gang of Four, The Clash, Prince, The Ramones, The Police, Tears for Fears, Rolling Stones...

Wearing what was not in the hamper because that was the cloths that really needed to be washed due to a night of partying. Jean jackets with buttons of rock idols, funny sayings, crude acts, and slogans. Hair product trying to imitate Duran Duran...

Driving a hand me down Fiat Spider. It was a great car, it was a full time topples car, only because the original wore free from age, and nature. A frat bro converted his 1968 Ford panel van's window washer system from cleaning the front window, to pouring really good Gin and tonics. Taking the drinking and driving to another level.

And somewhere in the mix of all this I somehow survived my fraternity life ( God only knows ) and got an education.

Yep, a challenge I will avoid like the plague.

that's my generation! i grew up in southern california and graduated high school in 1989. i wore two swatches at once (with multiple swatchguards on each). i wore pink shirts and white pants. i played ultima iv, karateka, and summer games on my apple //c. when i first played gta: vice city, i got nostalgic after listening to the radio. my 80s music collection is quite massive, and i'm sad that i won't be going to the coachella music festival this year (depeche mode is headlining saturday). ;(

Jeans so tight (had to watch out for camel toes!) straight-legged and high waisted and you tucked them into "slouch" socks. Lots of big hair and perms and all the Madonna-wanna-be's from her "Like A Virgin" era.

There was the Prep look, with turned up Polos and/or monogramed cotton button-downs. And make-up was rather comical....dark eyes, bright lips, blush that ran into the hairline and who could forget the Brook Sheilds bushy eye brows???

Love the music: Hairbands, Rock Love Ballads, the death of disco and the takeover of Punk/techno. MTV had really caught on.

I graduated from college, got a job, changed jobs, got married and had 2 kids in the 80's.
