I just found out that I got first with one of my images. I submitted it sometime last year and didn't realise there were prizes involved. So I am stoked.

Thanks so muchly. That image has been very popular...but the actual adrenaline rush at the time of the capture means so much more to me as that is something that cannot be given in prizes...although prizes are very welcome...hehehehe!! |

Thanks Buzz...it came at a good time...I was just about to buy some more cards...now I don't have to. And the Reader will come in handy too...my current one can go onto one of the other computers...lol!!

Mudhut....I get that magazine too...unfortunately it takes a couple of months to get to my newsagency....so if I hadn't have seen it online I wouldn't know for a couple more months...LOL!!
I think this is my third image in their magazine now but the first one to win prizes with them...so that is special to me. |

| Let me add my congratulations! It's a marvelous image - in the reasons they give for "why it won" they hit it dead on in that it has movement and life to it. Very well done, indeed! |

Let me add that many times we have seen such threads posted, and often the images have been pretty ho-hum; it's nice that they won, and we're happy for all winners in our community, but... YOUR silhouette, on the other hand, is a hauntingly effective image, and it's nice to see it recognized. I'd be happy if it were mine :-)

| Simple and selective. Technically controlled. Emotionally evocative. Those are the attibutes that I almost always recognize in a great photo. Like this one. Congratulations Judi on your well deserved award. |
