for profile pic it has to be 120 x 90 exactly. (90 x 120 I think works as well)

You may have to crop it to the right ratio first.

Instead of going to the Image size diologue, try using the crop tool.

This is the way I do it. In PS Open/New and put in dimensions (120X90). Then copy your nearly sized-right pic into the new doc. Move your image around within the box until you get it the way you want. Flatten. Save.

That make sense?

I've tried to post a profile photo but they say I'm the east end of a dog headed west. Just ask around.

Thanks to everyone for all your help... I guess we'll see if I can do this right when I have a picture up!

If you have checked the 'constrain proportions' box, when you resize your image, then you won't be able to make a 120x90, or visa versa.

You need to uncheck the box, so that you can have control of the dimensions.

If this isn't the problem, try yelling at it, it seem's to help me.
