Working on lighting, shadows, exposure, settings and post processing... critiques and comments welcomed

Hey Joshua,
Cool shots! I love the lighting and black background. The first shot I like a lot but would like more with a hint more DOF.
The 2nd one is super cool too but I personally I think the angle could be better or something. The flash on the brown part of the guitar distracts me and takes my focus off the strings and rest of the guitar. Overall, though, I love these pictures. I need to take some of the same for my brother and his guitars.

Hey fellow Texan. :) (I grew up in Arlington but now moved south.) :) I like both your shots. The angle on the first one is really nice. The lighting on the second one is nice but I think it would look better if it were warmed up some. The yellow is kind of bright. I did this shot and used an orange gel when shooting but you can do the same thing in post processing.

You know that is an awesome idea... I forgot about the warming filters I can apply in PS... you should of see it before I took the shot.. its a very pale top guitar and I used the shadow/highlight adjustment to get more of a orange/yellow tone... I am definitely going to check up on the orange filter in PS.
