I always liked these threads when other people make them, so I thought I would give it a go.

Post the photo's you think are underrated/ did not score as high as you thought they would...

I thought:

was an amazing picture....I was blown away to see it didn't even break the top 100.

Congrats to the winners by the way, I love all three ribboners....nice work you guys.

Few of the ones I thought would do better in no particular order.

My photo was *TOTALLY* underrated.

Should have been an asian toddler I guess.

I think no one looked at mine and read the title only one person got what the photo was about.

I love these threads too. I agree with your selection. I gave it an 8. Here are a few more that I liked that didn't do as well as I thought, from all wavelengths of the spectrum:

crap...and that's starting from the bottom. there are far too many to list. I think they are all underrated. The quality of shots that get overlooked here on a regular basis would win photographic competitions outside of dpc. That fact has been proven by many of our fine members. Congrats to everyone for a great freestudy challenge.

I don't know whether my entry was under-rated (zero comments to infer from), but I'm sure interested in how it compares to the alternates I almost submitted -- I decided to go with a virtually unprocessed capture for the entry. Thumbs to the alternates are in the photo's comment thread.

polkop, I saw the title/got the idea, but I think the picture was too dominated by the rusty fence, which by its nature is not great to look at. A different (elevated?) perspective with more contrast between fence and country would have helped immensely IMO.
