The outside dial is "5 minutes off center to the Left"
The picture is centered on purpose resulting in a very low score. My wife said I should be "VERY SPECIFIC" in my title so it would be very easy to spot what exactly was off center. I was sure the collective here would get it after giving it a look for more than a few seconds. I was wrong.
So to clarify, the outside dial on the outer rim of the watch dial is marked 15 30 45 and a black triangle, that is off center.
Kudos to Hbunch, the first commenter for getting it and predicting EXACTLY the outcome of this shot.

The face of the watch may have been vertically centered, but it was not horizontally centered. I gave it a 9

| Ah! - I can finally see what you're referring to. I was looking at the position of the hands in the dials trying to figure it out. For some reason, that outer bevel is just not obvious on first look. |

The really surprising thing about it is I got more comments on this than my last 10 challenges. That is worth more than a higher score. The bulk of the commenters liked the shot except for meeting the challenge.

More seriously though, don't you think that the photo should be able to speak on its own merits, not the title's? Even though your title tells of an off-centre subject, the photo itself does not.
Both of these topics have been discussed ad infinitum in the forums. The only conclusion I can draw from the debates is that there's no way to settle the issue. |
