Stop Whining About Site Council Decisions

I'm seeing more and more threads about certain people's problems with the judgement calls of the site council. Which pictures get disqualified, how posts are edited to remove TOS violations, what threads get moved to rant, and the apparent 'arbitrary' nature in which all these decisions are made gets harped on constantly in thread after thread, to no end!

This isn't a freakin' democracy, life isn't fair, and as far as I'm concerned the site council could rummage through the intestines of a sacrificial lamb to come up with their decisions, if they thought it was in the best interests of the site.

If people truly cared about the tenor of the discussion on this site, they wouldn't pointlessly bleat about things in a way that, when it comes down to it, is simply trying to undermine authority by pointing out all the 'inconsistencies' in the decisions that have been made in the past, instead of accepting that in this instance the decision was made the way it was made, and probably for good reason. Yes yes, it's so much easier to assume that people are out to get you, and that if you were all chummy with the site council that they would have decided in your favor... but frankly I don't see it. Of course there will be inconsistencies. We live in a world of inconsistencies, and your pitiful efforts to exert control over this fundamental fact of life will end in abject failure.

Please, for the love of all that is good, can we just try to live with it an learn from it instead of stirring up hysterical mobs to force your interpretation of right and wrong onto everyone else? If you want more say in the Site Council's decisions, maybe you should join it, do the work, and earn your influence, or start your own photography website that you can operate any way that you like.
