We all see photos of dogs and cats in EVERY single challenge... so why not have two seperate Open challenges.

Dog - Tkae a creative photo of a domesticated dog in its natural enviroment.

Cat - Tkae a creative photo of a domesticated cat in its natural enviroment.

We might as well go ahead with these challenges... and let everyone show off thier loving pets and perhaps get some decent scores for them.

Edit to add:
Natural enviroment = Living room couch, doggy bed, places where dogs and cats hang out. Stray cats or dogs are fine too, roaming the streets or in trash bins. As long as they are doing what they do and not propped up on a backdrop.

And if we have no pets and no easy access to these domesticated animals? And what's a domesticated animal's natural environment? Other than that, I like it :)

Visit your local animal shelter and make some poor homeless animal a star for a day! (And consider taking him/her home after you take the picture.)

Very wonderful idea. And, if you can't adopt a pet, putting some contact info in your Comments as to how to adopt this pet would be an awesome thing.

MMMMM, I have 4 cats, two dogs (Maltese poodle and a Bull Terrier), a budgie Parrot, an African Gray parrot and plenty of fish - All of you that can't get to a "domesticated animal" feel free to come and take some shots at my place.

How about dog and cat together. I have a pair I almost entered in the romance challenge. The challenge could be either or both.

Cat and dog together - Do you know what a Bull Terrier is? They hate cats - Can imagine how my Bull Terrier feels with the 4 cats. He is a disgrace with all Bull Terriers. Would be a very interesting action photo - think I must try it - putting the Bull Terrier with the Cat.

If we do everyone has to promise NO MORE CATS in any other challenge .. I believe through confidential sourses, that any photo of a cat is automatically a DQ in the new rules ;)

I love cats, wanna trade recipes?

I have no cats but I've got two dogs right now. One's in Blue II and the other is in Off-Centered Subject II. What was I thinking?

Yeah, OK, people like to put their pets into challenges so why not do these two? Works for me.
