I recently found out that I have to have two different profiles for my monitor. I took some pics to krogers for 4x6s and they where considerably lighter than the ones I did at home with my epson 800r printer. The epson seems to be quiet a bit warmer than norm. I have used color n code to calibrate the LCD monitor and it has never been perfect but pretty close. Now if I take them out to be printed I use one profile (photography) and if I print at home I use one I created (custom 6).Anyone have these problems with epson??

Sounds like the issue is more the printer profile than your profile. Also, if you take them out, the tech will often change the WB and other parameters.

You should be able to set your editing tools to set both monitor and printer profiles, and you should have an option to show what the printout would look like. Some printer profiles are available at //www.drycreekphoto.com/Frontier/ or you could ask krogers for the profiles of thier equipment.

You can get a profile made for your printer, providing you use the same types of ink and paper all the time. (Oh yea, are you using epson ink and paper? Sometimes it makes a difference.)

what do you mean, printer profile than mine?? Only profile I know is the type of paper. The tech at Krogers has no idea about photos, I figured its all auto set. Set my eding tools to match monitor and printer???
