Hey my peeps :)

We are leaving Wednesday headed for Parris Island S.C for my son (Fetor) U.S. Marine Corps Graduation. Taking lots of memory cards and camera equipment for a bonafide photographers extravaganza.

Check it out - The Few , The Proud , The Marines.

It's been 3 months since I have seen him! I'm sure he will post to say hello when we get back. He only has 10 days leave then he is off to do more training. Anyway, just thought I would let ya'll know. Thanks to everyone who wrote him in bootcamp!! I'm sure it help make all those hellish days survivable. OOORAH!

My father was a former Marine of 23 years. Congrats to your son! I'm sure you're proud.

Congrats to your son, and I salute him and wish him God's Grace. Having attended that fine place myself, where everyday's a Holiday and every meal's a Feast, I'm sure he's had a great time! LOL The Best Branch in the Service! Semper Fi

Congrads to your son, being a former Marine myself I know he's having a ball. Never got to experience Paris Island, I was a Hollywood Marine myself, but bootcamp is bootcamp in the Marines. Don't be surprise when you go to see your little boy you find a Man instead. Looking forward to seeing the pictures.

Yes, it seems like it went by fast in some ways to us, but I'm sure to him it feels like a year. I still can't get over all they learn in that short amount of time. They make use of every daylight hour there. He requested a honey baked ham upon homecoming! I hear all they talk about is what kinds of food they want when they leave the island. They have all been off sugar, soft drinks and luxury foods. I can't wait to see how thin and buff he is....He's so handsome anyway!! 'Swoon'

Congrats to you, your family and Fetor of course. Can't wait to see the pictures!

Congrats. I've slacked off on the letter department. I think I only sent three. Oops. I had meant to send more though. Oh well, I hope he liked them. All I really did was send jokes.

Can't wait to see the pictures. Hopefully you bring a long lens. For my Air Force Graduation the audience weren't that close to where we were all lined up.

Bear-

Cory mentioned seeing a Marsh on base in one of his letters just like the ones in your pictures. He said they are especially pretty at 6am when they are out running and when its cold out and steam is rising from them.

Nathan- Honey you done good! Gosh. I would never of expected you to have mailed him that many times. You went above and beyond the call of duty for sure. Thank you so much.

Parris Island is beautiful - take a drive around. Bring a telephoto lens for the ceremony, it's all pretty far away from the bleachers. Visit the museum. Post pictures for us!

My-son-the-marine is coming home in 264 hours (thats 11 days and five minutes). His four years are up on Fe. 5th. He left for boot camp when he was 17. It's been a long four years for a Mom.

I actually lived in Beaufort, South Carolina; just outside of Paris Island. Dad was stationed there for about 9 months. It is a very beautiful area from what I remember ( I was in the 5th grade ha! ). Congrats once again. I have several friends flying back home from their own graduation from San Diego.

WOO HOOO!!!! He made it, that is so wonderful. Be sure and bring some tissues along because you are hardly going to recognize your baby! And when you see him and talk to him, meet his DIs you are going to be blown away, if you thought watching him graduate from HS was something, just wait until he marches across that parade deck. Oh I LOVE when they are fresh out of boot camp.... enjoy your time with him on his 10 day break before he heads to MCT. Tell him congrats and Semper Fi!!!!
