Yeah...I'm new, but I write web-based software applications all day. So I think of these things often:

I know it was suggested that we "PM" the user and let them know they received a critique. This seems a bit "tasky" and more so, and rather non-descript.

I am of the opinion, that when the Critiquer submits the critique from cclub_selection.php page, that we see if we can have the system send a simple automated message: "You're recent entry has received a critique from the Critique Club!"

Perhaps something HBunch can put in the site suggestion queue and talk to D&L about?

or perhaps a message could show up on our homepage?

Been discussed numerous times, and I also think it's a good idea. There are a lot of great CC suggestions that are in discussions amongst SC. Most of which are in the Critique Club Forum if you want to see them. Drew and Lang have a whole huge list of things they 'need' to do, and are working on them. Thanks for your input, hopefully that list is moving on down to the CC soon.

Your idea seems good to me. And it would take only a few lines of PHP to implement.

Yup... (but a lot less lines in Coldfusion)

;P

It would be really nice, hint hint, if D&L (or SC, whoever knows) would publish a list of "things that are on the list of things to be taken care of."

Maybe that way we would know and not ask unnecessarily, and they could reference it for the next thing in line :)

Didn't really know where to put this question, the title of this thread looked good. Maybe it needs to be pinned to the top also. Anyways.

Could we have, where you click the link for users name open in a new window?

Spurs, to do this, hold the SHIFT key down while you click on the users name. Try it right now with my name...it should work.

doesn't work for Mac.

you could also use:

right mouse-click -> open in new window (or something like that)

If you run Opera (possibly Firefox too) you can just middle-click on anything to open in a new window.
