If any of you folks come across on your adventure someone that wants to sell a Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L USM please share the information with me.
A new one is a bit over budget for now.
Please don't ask me how much i'm willing to pay, i'll see depending on the offered price.
Looking on eBay and other auction palce also.
Thanks for any help.

I wish you much luck in finding a good deal, but I fear you may have a difficult go of it. The auction sites, particularly ebay, are real sellers' markets, with pristine used copies of desirable lenses going for nearly as much as new (sometimes more, LOL).
Knowledgable sellers of used 70-200/4 copies will know they can get near-new prices.

I think you can find a good price on that lens from browsing buy/sell forums. A lot of folks will get one, then want to get the 2.8L shortly thereafter because they are stuck in the equipment game and not the photography, create good pictures game (something we all get caught up in from time to time)...use that to your advantage...My guess is there'll be some floating around out there where people need to get rid of them quickly to get the 2.8L...good luck.

you can pick up one up over there for under $500...just keep your eyes peeled. I'm looking for one too....bbbuuutttt....BF said no.....but BF keeps pissing me off and I pay for my own stuff....so gonna get one anyway :)
