Hi Guys I do have one question for you . I want to buy a 180mm macro lens and I'm little lost about Canon Vs Sigma and Tamron
I do like L glass the most al of my lenses are L
I hear lot of good things about Sigma and Tamron and price is allot chipper then Canon lens
I have use a Sigma 150mm. lot of people like them but I did like the color they're giving me, and I went back to my Canon 100mm macro
this lens they will stay in my bag forever .I was thinking a 180mm for the working distance. What lens will give me, the closest image quality
to Canon ? Sigma or Tamron
or just stay with Canon ?
Your suggestion will be appreciated Emmanuel

Well, I am a fan of both Sigma and Canon lenses but if you don't like the color tones of the 150mm chances are you won't like the 180mm Sigma either. Go with the Canon, it may be a little more money, but you will get what you payed for and the L glass that you like.

It may be too late - I have the Tamron lens and have been very pleased with it. But you will also like the Canon one. I have found the 180mm macro to be a good length. You can also add extension tubes and get even closer to your subject (true for either the Canon or the Tamron.)

Thank you for your help Mary Ann
I was between Tamron and Canon
I have read good things about Tamron 180mm
i have trade my 16-35mm L for a mint 180mm L without any extra cost

I'm happy with my 180mm and the other guy is happy with his 16-35mm we're both happy :)
Thank you for your reply
