My first DQ...Questions for the SC

Okay...my collections photo was DQ'd. The reason was for not providing the original photograph along with the editing steps. I did send the photo (twice) so I'd like to know exactly what the problem was. I'm only a little mad because the SC has been very fair in the past. Also, I never got an email notifying me of the request for the photo or notifying me of the DQ. So what's up? I'd really like more information so mistakes aren't repeated.

Im sure there was a reason....they just don't DQ somebody for no reason..
Give it a little bit of time and I'm sure somebody will reply to this post

Hi Mike,

Here's an excerpt from our activity log on that DQ:

# kirbic (Dec 1 23:54): By the photog's details, the submitted file is the JPEG conversion of the RAW file, and the software tag shows that. Re-requesting.
# Manic (Dec 2 11:28): I'll email the photog and get a copy of the RAW...
# karmat (Dec 3 11:06): have you heard anything manic?
# Manic (Dec 4 12:37): No response after 48 hrs to my request for the RAW...
# Manic (Dec 5 05:31): Still nothing...

An email would have been triggered by the DQ request, in addition to the one sent by Manic on the 2nd. You may want to check your junk mail filters to ensure that they are not blocking mail from DPChallenge.com (also check your junk folder to ensure the message's aren't there).

Also make sure the e-mail you have on DPC you still check.

i have posted a note to the admins regarding this thread. it's possible that the emails got caught up in the PM trouble we've been having (see the announcements on the home page of the site). i'll let you know what i find out.

I have been checking my e-mail, and the only e-mail I got was the DPChallenge weekly update. I never got anything else. I don't know what's going on. I'm going to try to PM myself and see if I get that.

I turned off my spam filter. I didn't get my PM or David Ey's either. What's going on?

no one is getting them right now, but the queue is supposedly working through the requests. they got backed up for a while.

The backed up messages have been sent and PMs seem to be working fine now.

I just got my first PM to myself. I really didn't get any e-mails from the SC. I don't really care about the DQ, but I really think there is a problem with communication from DPC.

I don't think there's a problem. There was a glitch, it happens, but there's no problem.

Perhaps the problem is on your end? Is anyone else currently having problems with PMs? I just did some tests and they worked fine.
