I just noticed we'd passed a quarter million images in DPC, so went looking for image number 250,000 � here it is:

Unfortunately, the poster's stats suggest he won't likely notice this thread:

But we're heading up to a third of a million forum threads Robert - interesting that there's more writing ... hang on a minute; if a picture's worth a thousand words, OK ... anyone want to work out exactly how many words have been posted to the site?

Where do you find out how many pictures have been uploaded?

Each image has an identifying number. You can see it in the url when you open the image. That one was #250000. I assume this means it's the 250,000th image posted....

000001 does not exists

I see that. Image 001000 exists:

, but image 000100 does not, so it strated in there somewhere. Anyway, the margin's close enough for government work :-)

But it was posted at some point. Right now there are just over 160,000 images on DPC - but 250,000 have at some point existed.

I realize it was posted at some point but it isn't now. So technically there isn't 250,000 images on DPC. But it doesn't matter.

167,207 images ON dpc right now.
