Just wanted to let everyone know, I have not forgotten about you. I have been very sick for the last week or so, and haven't been able to sit up for long periods of time, so it's taking me FOREVER to review the critiques given that qualify for the free membership. There were over 1000 Critique Club Critiques given in that time period. Which was about a month and a half. I'm feeling a bit better, so I'll get this wrapped up soon and post results after I have email contact with the person I select. I am doing it that way, because as I stated from the beginning, the selected member can either take the membership for themselves, OR give it to another member that they feel deserves the membership.
I'll be having surgery on the 22nd so I'll be off work, and have been considering a CC marathon of sorts, to express my thanks to all of the people who make this site what it is. Maybe have it on the Sat and Sun after Thanksgiving.
Not definate though, maybe someone would like to join me? Any thoughts on a marathon? If enough people wanted to do it, I think I could maybe toss in another free membership somehow? I'll let you guys help come up with some ideas for that.

Alienyst, very generous offer! I'm getting pretty excited about a 48 hour critiquing marathon. Thanks for your email, and glad you'll join me.
Another brief update on the membership...There were a few people I had selected as 'top contributors' and just could not chose only one, so I drew out of a hat. I have contacted the selected users and as soon as I hear from them, I'll be able to post the results. |

Heather take care of your first and foremost. Then worry about other things.
Also got to mention this I got a really nice pm from Edmeng for a critique I did...it was that pm that makes doing the critiques all worthwhile. A simple thank you was all there was to it but at least I know someone appreciated it.

Well, Changed the name of the thread to reflect the winner. I ended up drawing a name out of a couple members who I had a tough time chosing between. Alienyst's name was drawn. He gave 50some well thought out critiques within the time frame. Contact with Alienyst disclosed that he would like to donate the membership to the next person who had contributed the most to the CC. This was Artyste, who accepted the membership. Glad you're joining the blue shirts again.
Artyste gave 30something critiques within the time frame, and they are just awesome critiques. Very time consuming, very detailed and I would be honored to receive one myself.

Thank you very much. I decided to accept the membership because I want to enter the free study and give myself a reason to do some photography this month. Here's to hoping I find something to enter.
Also, my name gets to go back on the Photographer's Profiles front page again. w00t.
hehe.
Look for more Critique Club critiques soon.. I took a little break from DPC, but hopefully will start contributing more again shortly.
