I started noticing a few dust spots on certain pics and really didn't know what part was the sensor. I have a 20D and found the setting that allows you to clean the sensor. I was careful here to use a blower and brush. It seems though that I have some dust on the view finder and the mirror. What do I clean these with? Do you use some solution and a q-tip? Or just the blower / brush?

Help,
brent

On the mirror, be VERy careful. Best to just blow off what will come off. Don't use liquid cleaner on the mirror.
Dust in the viewfinder might mot be accessible, you might just wind up living with it, depending where it is. Dust on mirror or in viewinder is only a niuscance, of course, and cannot show up on pics.

First, I'd use a powerful bulb blower with the mirror down. If you look up from the mirror, you can see the focusing screen. You can blow this as well. I guess if that fails, you can try a can of compressed air, though they warn against these as the propellent can harm the sensor. I've tried the brush and cleaning solutions on the mirror and the focusing screen. I've collected fine dot sized dusts that seem too small to be blown out so I've had to learn to live with them as well.
