I recently broke my parents digital camera, again. So that brings my total up to 1 stolen, 1 water damage, and 1 dropped. 3 screwed up digital cameras. I cracked the LcD can this be fixed?

I don't know but boy do I feel for you, . . 3! Last year I dropped my mom's digital camera on concrete and I thought for sure it was a goner, what a relief thst it still worked. I hope everything works out for you.

Is the LCD still working? If not, it will have to go in for repair. Depending on camera model, this will cost you anywhere from £20 - £90.

If the LCD still works, it would appear that it is only the frontplate that is broken. In that case, you can usually peel off the frontplate, and make your own new one (a precisely cut piece of a CD cover will do the trick - I have done it before).

If the protective piece of plastic doesn't peel off, you might have to cut the shards loose with a sharp knife (stanley knife or something) or a Dremel cutter. However, you need nerves of steel and hands of a surgeon to want to do that - you might be better off sending it for repair in any case. They will probably replace the back of the body shell, but that shouldn't be TOO expensive.
