I expected this to do a bit better and maybe had to high expectations. All five comments are "nice" (nothing wrong with that), but I would like some people to tell me the negative aspects.

I'll give you some options, only replying with some numbers will be fine (saves you some time).

1 Does not meet the challenge / did not see the reflection
2 The subject is uninteresting / the scene is boring
3 I don't recognize the subject
4 The angle is weird, like you shoot from underneath. I don't like that.
5 It is too dark / the average tone is too dark
6 It is too light
7 The color is a bit blah
7 You should not have rotated the image 180 degrees
8 The sign at the right is very distracting
9 You should have flipped it so the angle of the bridge points the other way
10 The darkness in the sky is weird
11 I suspect to much postprocessing
12 The bird spoils it
13 It is just boring
14 No, it is not all that, it is ......

14. Hope that helps!

No. Really. I like it. I didn't vote on the reflections challenge but I would have given it at least a 7. I think your problem may have been the drive by voters who didn't even look at the image and saw no duck (which I thought greatly helped the image), no waves (I wish there had been more), and no reflection (if you didn't see the first two, you might have missed it). Pretty cool, but I can't help you here, I guess...

think maybe the crop was too tight...hard to see that it is an upside reflection at first.

i think the pic just went under rated. not many understood wat was going on. its a great idea of reflections, just maybe, seems too worked on.

Was one of my higher scores in this challenge. Not gonna give you any negativity. I loved how it looked like you were shooting up at the scene from underwater.

8.

Some have said that the crop is too tight, however the two signs take away from the overall image, IMO, so I'd lose 'em. It would also have been nice to see it without the people on the bridge, but hey, what can you do.

Like dahkota, I didn't vote in the challenge either but if I had, it would have been at least a 6 or 7. It's very sharp and I like the colors.

I liked this photo - I gave it a 7, and so it was one of the higher rated ones for me on this challenge.

To improve it, I would agree that the cropping is a little tight. Also, the color seems just a tad off to me in the sky. But that could be my monitor. I don't have much to suggest here because I really feel you did a good job! Definitely one of the under-rated photos for the challenge. (And I think the title is under-rated, too - I like it!)

Left you a comment on the pic.

The idea is good but the bridge is not pretty.

Thanks for the comments (here and on the pic), I appreciate it, when I have some time later this week I'll comment on one of your pics.

Courtenay, I have several with more waves or fine ripples from when the wind picked up. Some look pretty neat, but I feared it wouldn't do well at DPC. :)

About the crop; It is the full out of camera view. I was "limited" by my prime lens. Already standing on the edge, filling the frame between the two canal walls. Perhaps a wider angle lens might have been better. I'll try that next time I'm there. Hate the sign, but couldn't clone it out.

Ricky and Elizabeth, the color of the sky and especially towards the upper border and corners is indeed dark / a tad off. While I did not use a polarizer, the effect is the same. I suspect is has something to do with the polarizing effect of the water combined with a shadow area in the water caused by trees along the canal.

Thanks again. :)
