Hi guys! I'm so stuck I cannot think of an ending for my 2 minute short animation for my class. Here's what i got so far.

The setting's the monopoly board. 3-4 pieces will be at the GO spot including the man character, the thimble. The pieces all roll themselves (or a "master being" rolls for them, I haven't decided). They all go a lot farhter on the board, all getting like 6's or 5's. The thimble is frustrated because he's only getting 1's and 2's and isn't getting far at all. He keeps landing on properties but doesn't have any money to buy any while his buddies all have mulitple properties and are building houses. Out of desperation he goes to the bank which is unguarded and steals some money. he is sent to jail.
that's all i've got. I'm so stuck. The teacher really wants to have a moral and all that jazz or at least let it have a point. I just don't know what to do with it.
Please help!!!

Thanks
liz

On a slow and steady always wins the race type of theme, you could have the other pieces racing ahead with the thimble laging behind. Then have the thimble hit the chance square and getting a great prize or a advance to boardwalk card. Something along those lines.

Hmmm, have the bottom fall out of the housing market and bankrupt his friends. In jail he learns patience and self confidence and when he comes out opens his own business and succeeds, proving that the race is not always to the swiftest and to not compare yourself to others.

By having him "steal" money and get sent to jail you have stepped outside the Monopoly universe; that's not part of the game at all. Also, if they're all starting fresh at GO, how come he doesn't have any money? I like the idea of the laggard hitting chance and getting spirited to boardwalk... Then the others all hit it one after the other and he becomes an instant tycoon :-)

Is this a dpc allegory? (5's 6's vs 1's adn 2's)

Just kidding.

I like bear_music's idea.

what you is have him try to get put in jail because he can't pay the rent, can't buy a house, and its getting cold, but he fails; like cheating stealing and all that stuff and ignored no onew cares; but then, he hits free parking and gets alot of cash; and just when he thinks hes home free; he gets put in jail; its O. Henry short story irony at its best - you have to work out the details but you can see the morale. karma, and life, happens.

I realy like the theme you have already got, that "crime doesn't pay" - litteraly.

perhaps you could finish it off with another figure, out of the kindness of thier heart, donating a "get out of jail free card", and the thimble is so touched by the kindness that he ridds his evil ways and as a reasult, befriends all of the other players.

good luck with you project!

Or... you could have a terrible hurricane appear erasing everybodies houses... so they are all the same again, in the end they all strive to grow together 'rebuilding' what was lost... perhaps a 'funny' and dramatically actual way of remembering equality and fraternity.
