I will be visiting the Cleveland area this weekend. Any suggestions for where to go for some good shots? Anyone want to get together for some evening/nightime shooting?

Hi Jeileen,

There are any number of neat places to take some night time shots in Cleveland. The Flats is pretty much closed down but the town and bridges along the river make fine targets. A favorite (and safe area) of mine is the University Circle area. Severance Center is a very neat model when she is lighted. During the day Erieview Cemetary and of course the buildings down town. Unfortunately as with any town, there are certainly places you may want to stay out of as well. Have you been to Cleveland before?
As for joining you, 9:00 pm is past my bed time.

If you PM me I will give you more details on these or some other sites.

BTW, I certainly would shoot the Rock and Roll Hall a Fame at night. Also, in that area are a number of other Cleveland attractions as well.

Drydoc, thanks for the info. I was also told that Virginia Kendall National Park would be a nice place to shoot. What do you know about this park?

Hi Joy,

Quite a bit since I live close to it. The whole area down through there is spectacular. The Valley below is apart of the Cuyahoga Natinal Park. If you are intersted in some unique shots visit the little town of Peninsula an catch the Cuyahoga Vally Railroad. U probably can't get tickets for the Polar Express run but hanging around there when it boards will get you some great shots. If you are really, really adventurous you can bike or walk (58 miles worth) along the Ohio Canal Tow path for some great winter scenes, including one of the train as it passes by. (If you do decide to bike the path, I suggest you go south from the Peninsula entrace.) Also, down there is Hale Farm and Village, a preserved 1800 style village.
On rt 303, east of Peninsula is a Park Information cabin. Next to it is an old, old cemetery. It is also where the walking trails start into the valley where you can get some fantastic shots of rocks and ledges. Also, get some info and directions about Whipps ledges further on down the road.

That should get you started. I'll send more as I think of it.

P.S. I hope your original thread is not counted as one of the thirteen I've killed. If it was, I Hope this makes up for it.
