| Summer is starting to roll into the DC metro area, and I was reminded today of those vintage pictures from the 50's-60's showing people sitting outside trying to beat the sultry days of summer. You know the ones, you can see the heat waves in the air. Just how did the world cope before AC? |

Sounds like a great challenge idea, but what about those who live in the southern hemisphere where winter is fast approaching?
