I'm really pleased for the placement of my Bubbles entry. Most of the comments pointed out the flaws and ways to improve it. However, I'd like to share some of the outtakes in order to get some imput from you.
What do you think about these?

I think you've entered the strongest and calmest one. The other two are a little out of focus and too busy.

How did you do it?

Photography is an expression of art. The camera is the tool, the camera operator is the artist. To express good art you must know how to compose a picture. But this is only just the beginning. To express art it has to follow a very narrow path of expresionism. the photograph has to talk to you, it has to impress you at first sight. It's like painting a scene of nature to it's most likness, this is no art it's just technique and for that, one could use a camera to obtain the same result. Remember composition, contrast, subject, action, the photograph has to say something, not just the fact that it shows a trick. It takes experience to master art.

Focus was definitely a problem in all my shots, because of the deficient lighting I was using... Shutter speed was below 1/10 of a second, causing serious motion blur...
How I did it? Put a pict of earth as background in my monitor, and began blowing bubbles in front of it... The problem with DOF and focus in the outtakes forced me to take another approach: put the camera closer, blow a bubble, pick it up with the wire and place it between the camera and monitor with one hand while pressing the shutter with the other...
That's why I couldn't get rid of motion blur, anyhow I think that with more light the results would have been definitely better.
