Where you invite people to vote, is it possible to label the 1 to 10 parameters a little differently?

I have no problem with labelling a vote of 10 as BEST, although MORE might fit better with my following suggestion.

As a photographer hesitant to post an image, I would prefer the 1 peg to be labelled as LESS and not "worst" :-(.

Voting set-out would then look like this:

(LESS) 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 (MORE)

The right words can make a real difference!

What do others think?

Photography is as much about the process as it is about the product. There is never a "right" or "wrong" way to do it. So what I would suggest is to pay less attention to the scores (though it's fun to win), but rather know that we all appreciate your sharing of your photos.

Don't hesitate and worry about the wording.

See, the thing is....is that you will never know what anyone has actually voted. You either win first, second or third. The rest of us go to bed wondering just how bad our photo really was. Just kidding. With the voting now being done with the average total, there is no "worst".

So stop making excuses and enter a photograph. They have now put in areas where anyone can make comments about your photo. What better way to learn?

Maybe the photographer should be able to see his score? I don't know if everyone would agree to post the averages along with the picture? Maybe keep it private? Maybe an option to keep it private (Like an email address)? You could keep stats on number of times the photographer won a challange and the ten highest averages.

Just brainstormin....
