| I'm pretty new to the forums and photography in general. I got my first digital camera earlier this year (Powershot A85). All the photos in my portfolio as of right now were taken with it. It's been a great camera but I decided it was time to move up. Today I ordered a new Canon Rebel XT w/18-55 kit lens on it. I have voted on the destination challenge, but have yet to enter one of my own. I'm holding out for my camera to come in. I'm eager to learn, and have already learned a ton from this site and various literature. I plan on using these contests as a great way to get some criticism from some real pro's. I live in a very rural area, and don't live anywhere near any studios that can be rented or used freely. I went to our local photographer and asked if I could help him around his studio, and told him that I would work for free, just for the experience. But he said he didn't need any help right now. So internet learning will be all I'm able to do for right now. Thanks for making this place a great place to learn! |

| I just bought the Rebel XT too...still hasn't come yet either, but don't forget to change your camera under your profile!! |
