I was looking through top 10 in the color portrait challenge and noticed that Iceland is doing really well in this challenge.
2nd is steinar
4th is nazgul
7th is heida
8th is Desember
all from Iceland... not bad 40% of top 10 from probably the smallest country that has members on DPC :)

It's always been like this. Icelanders are always luckier.
I think we should all moove to Iceland, it's underpopulated anyway.

| I think it's really simple... We're just so beautiful that you can't possibly screw up a portrait of an Icelander. Even the homeless guy Nazgul paid $10 for taking his photo looks rather handsome ;-) |

Don't forget siggi, Laurus and hjalti in the next group of 10! 7 of the top 20 are Icelandic!!!! Pretty impressive for a country with a population of only 300,000...

Less than 1% of the entire DPC population. Statistically, as a group, they must be the best photographers here.

I'm fairly certain that Iceland has far and away the highest percentage of its population registered with this site (followed by New Zealand perhaps). Interesting that 6 out of these 7 Icelanders are using a Canon DSLR. Canon must have some good sales in Reykjavik. |

I think that people on Iceland are so bored (small Island, nothing to do but bathing in natural hot outdoor spas, climbing mountains, sitting in the sauna, trying to get strange tractors onto a vertical cliff, racing snowscooters, making love to beatiful people all day -there are only 300.000, it doesn't take long before you've been with them all-, counting the seconds between geiser outbursts, etc) that they are photographing eachother every freakin minute and try a lot of wierd stuff. Therefore they all have become perfect photographers and perfect models.

Sigur Ros was amazing...best show I've ever been to.
