Can't wait. I've sat out two "Nudes" challenges because of lack of models.(How do you find a model dilemma) As a result of taking a portrait of a strikingly beautiful woman for the current portraits challenge, I've been approached by two women who have asked for nude portraits. They liked my portrait work...go figure.
Always been wanting to explore "artistic nudes" but lacked the confidence to approach it.
As result of one portrait....
Doing a wedding this weekend
Been approached for two portrait sessions
Been approached for one "promotional" session for a performer.
This is getting exciting!

Funny thing is ... my portrait shot...which I had high hopes for
is getting slaughtered

Hey, I think most guys here would be pretty happy with having a nudes challenge every week!
On the other hand, those that are in a position to take these sorts of photos don't really need a challenge to get them to take the photos. Challenges are great to get the creativity flowing. I try not to let it stop after the challenge is over myself. Maybe you can shoot your own challenge. And not worry about the fact that the only person voting is you.
Of course, the one good thing about having a "nudes" challenge every week would be that eventually people would get their technique sooo good that the Nude Kitten picture would eventually rise to the top and dominate ALL!
I'd love to see which portrait made the difference. Maybe I can take one similar (or just pretend that I shot it) and get some requests for nudes too..... hmmmmmm.... |
