Hi there. A few nights back in a very nice thread complimenting someone for their critiques given, a challenge was brought up that to repay her for her help to others, that we should give her some crits. Well, she ended up getting close to 100 critiques in her profile in a short period of time. (last I checked)

I'm now asking for help from Critique Club members (or even people who are not currently CC's but could possibly join) This week, there were 356 requests for CCs. Only 15 have been done.
Could someone please join me in trying to reduce this number.
I would really like to see it reduced greatly.
I will personally be working on this all day Sunday to get as many CC's done as possible.
Anyone?

Edit to add...
Please contact
Konador
Or
Manic
To join the CC. Thanks in advance for any help I can get.

Ok. I'll do a few. It's been a while since I did one for CC.

Count me in... I've been negligent when it comes to CC the last couple of weeks. I'll pledge to reduce that number by 30 within the week - how's that sound? :-)

Excellent. Thank you guys so much. Don't forget to send PM's to the photographers letting them know they have a new critique. I use...

I did one, but I gotta go to sleep. If I get a chance, I'll try to do some more this week.

HAHAHAHA!

I just went ina nd pulled up my first image to crit, and it's Librodo's Blue Ribbon shot. Now what the hell am I gonna do with that?

"Really nice work, dude. Lovely colors, great eyes, go forth and prosper!"

LOL @ bear - I hate that too... I've gotten 2 other ribbon winners previously as well (although not the blue). You really feel like you're at a loss for something to contribute, but I think (for whatever it's worth), that there's usually SOMETHING in the shot to suggest an improvement on. This is by no means an absolute rule, but usually after I have studied it long enough, I find that I do arrive at a different perspective or thought process to broaden the photographer's interpretation. Just my 2 cents as always... (Feel free to ask for change!) ;-)

Oh, I really got no problem with that. Nothing's perfect. I think I gave good crit there...

Ohhh...just realized another challenge for myself. I have currently given 385 official CCC's. I'm going to strive for 500 by the end of the month.
If anyone else wants to know how many they have...give me a holla.

How about me? Maybe 30? I know I slacked way off... But I comment all over the place (he said defensively)

Magic SC powers. You've done 16 excellent crits. (I just read them)

Thanks guys for the help. Sometimes it feels like I'm taking on the world single handedly. I lost a friend in the Sept 11 (anniversary today) attack on the WTC, so this is really keeping my spirits up. Thanks again.

I'm working on it. I've done a few in the last few days, and am working on more as we speak.

My critiquing technique takes a lot out of me though, hehe.. so I'm not as fast as some people.

LOL.. shoot Bear.. I'm glad you got Librodo's D&L for the CC and not me.. I'd have had to shoot myself. I started enough controversy over it already. LOL.

Ah well.. on to more!

ROFLMAO... I feel like I've been there too... There are some images where you feel like "Okay, what can I possibly add to the comments already present to improve this particular shot."

Granted I'm not exactly a veteran when it comes to the Critique Club, but it seems like the majority of images requesting comments are from fairly accomplished photographers in their own right... [I put myself in the minority of those who really need it, seeking validation for incremental improvement.]

I just did an in-depth one and I already feel tired

..well, that could be because my girlfriend forced me to keep playing Tetris Attack with her until she won.. and I'm not the type to let people win, so we were playing for a LONNNGG time.. my eyes hurt now :(..

Maybe a couple more then, if I remember, some more tomorrow :)
