I couldn’t help but notice that most of the pictures related to the latest miserable events of Katrina had survivors walking while sheltering their little pets, which are mostly dogs. Does this kind of composition make the picture look more dramatic! Well all that came to my mind at this point was the movie Wag The Dog and the story of the lady survivor sheltering her little cat away from the rubble of war. I guess for most of the photographers who took those pictures the “The Pet” element was a keynote tune they played...
