i have 2 compact Fuji's to shoot with
the FujiF810 is on intensive care after the rain challenge ;--((

my second cam this Fuji E550 is letting me down too
all images have these strange rasters all over the image
i have no clue where it comes from and whats worse i don t know how to get rid of it
does anybody recognizes these effects or has any idea whats happening???

im 100% sure its the cam and not some software from the pc or something wich causes these effects
also i checked all the settings on the cam and nothing unusal i can find

Looks like corrupt data somehow. First thing is to try reformatting the memory card in the camera.

Looks like a hardware problem to me. I saw something similar in a Finepix 3800 and it was a dirty contact between the sensor and the circuit board.
I would take it to a repair shop ASAP!

On the plus side that's a HELL of an image and 100% legal in challenges to boot. I'd be inclined to keep it as is and use it for weird shots.

Looks like moiré to me. Changing your angle of view will change how the light hits the sensor and will reduce or eliminate the effect.

Looks like a hardware problem. Good luck getting it fixed. When I sent my Fuji in for repairs, it was the longest four months of my life. Fuji service (USA) sucks!

It is definitely a moiré pattern, but to be that bad no amount of changing angle of view is going to cure it. I would say there is a problem with the sensor, either it has been damaged or has moved in some way.
