I really really want to see this film and I can't find any information about whether it's already been released in the UK, come and gone and I missed it or whether it's still to be released or what.

Basically, if anyone who is more patient than I am can locate information on any future shows of this film in London I'd be extremely grateful!

THANKS IN ADVANCE!
Kavey

Woooo!
THANKS GEORGE!!!!

I can't wait for the Narnia film either as we met on holiday the father of one of the four principle child actors and when we went to his place for dinner on our return we met his son who is in the film and saw lots of wonderful photos of the set and filming in NZ. I think it's going to be amazing!

We saw the previews for March of penguins last weekend when we went to the movies but it didn't say a date...but I thought of you, Kavey, when I saw it! Reminded me of your antartica (sp?) pictures! :)

Thank you so much! That's really kind of you to say...

We did love our experiences in Antarctica and we saw 7 species of penguin. The ones that were most like the Emperors (which this film is about) were the King Penguins, which are featured in my Nurture photograph.

We couldn't see the Emperors as they breed FAR inland in the more inaccessible regions of the continent.

The main differences are their size (Emperors are bigger) and the appearances of their chicks which are very different.

We also saw gentoo, chinstrap, rockhopper, magellan, adlie and macaroni penguins.

Kings were my favourite of these but perhaps because I was blown away walking on a beach with thousands and thousands and thousands of them!

:o)

I've been wanting to see this film ever since I first read about it... it only got released in the US about a month ago I believe. A few people have criticised it's anthropomorphic cutesy qualities, but I don't think that will put me off. Perhaps it should be timed with a London GTG with chinese food in Soho afterwards? :-D

That sounds great, Bob!

Yeah the anthropomorphic aspect doesn't bother me in principle though I hope it's done with more accuracy in terms of their real behaviour than Pride - the lion one released last year which included a lion cub girl that wanted to be a veggie and other asinine nonsense. I still watched it for the footage but switched off from the story - especially as I'm sure they swapped which real lions were playing their characters during it...
