I have just about let the State Fair of Texas entry deadline pass me by...so I'll see if you guys can help me pick two shots to enter.
Last year I entered  and  , and did not place. It seemed that the overwhelming majority of the winners were bluebonnets or Texas rural scenes. I have taken a lot of those this year, so if you don't mind looking through some galleries, I'd appreciate your input.
My bluebonnet gallery is here and I'd like to enter at least one of these, but not sure which one. The other entry can be anything, so have a look at my portfolio if you're so inclined and give me your ideas.

in your blue bonnet gallery i like most on page 3...# 22 and 19 in that order. you have really nice flowers posted. good luck...hope ya place this year!

Holy smokes, Laurie - so many to choose from. All very nice - makes it difficult. You would know best the type of thing they look for - like do single flowers fare better than a field of them? Should they be the overwhelming subject in the shot?

Geeesh Laurie, I should check out your smugmug more often!! You have some way cool stuff there. Now for the blubonnets, I like 45,73,78 and most definetly 22 (the tractor shot) Fabulous!
Some others that really grabbed my attention were "Alexanders Bait shack" as well as the lifesaver shot in your zoo - Non animal gallery and also the picture of the Hanging pants in your GTG gallery. That photo is soooo cool. :-)

ALL are good photos. You have an excellent eye.
I agree, #22 is very good and would probably do well.
My absolute favorites are #30, #71 and #79 (you know, flowers and bugs are always popular).
