Will someone who is a better mathematician than I please explain how we get decimals and fractions in our scores? On the surface, it would seem that 100 votes of 5 would give us a score of 5 - same with 4 or 9 or whatever - but nearly always that is not the case because even then there is a ".0" behind the number...where do the fractions come from?

Let's say you only get 2 votes ... a 6 and a 7 which eaual 13. Divide the 13 by the number of votes and you get 6.5000
I hope this helps.

LOL. :-)
The '.000' behind the number are just the way the programming of the site is told to display vote average numbers, ie to three decimal places.
