I can't seem to figure out why my PS CS2 RAW pluggin seems to have a yellow tint making the reds more orange and greens more yellow. here's an example
 RAW pluggin
 Nikon Capture which shows true colors.
I don't use auto settings in the pluggin so I'm at a loos as to why it does this.
Please help!

You may not like the answer... I think you're probably seeing the effect of Nikon's choice to encrypt their WB info. Adobe recently made a bit of a stink over this. It is likely that ACR does not fully understand the WB info in the D70 RAW file, so it has to guess, and it's not always accurate. Nikon, of course, would prefer you to use their RAW converter, and so they make it difficult for 3rd party converters to get it right.
To be fair, NIkon is not the only one, it's the general rule. Until the camera manufacturers "see the lihgt" and adopt an open standard for communicating with RAW decoding software, issues like this will continue to crop up.

| Yep that is exactly it....and it will force you to stay with their converter untill Nikon comes to it senses. |

I did some searching on the web and I found this post on a different website. NOTE this is someone who is using a Nikon D2X
"When CS2 first came out there was no support for the D2X raw files. Adobe had made the statement that Nikon had encrypted the white balance and they were basically afraid of being sued by Nikon if they broke the encryption. Since, Adobe has released a new raw converter (version 3.1) that does support the D2X, however - and this is a big however - the camera's white balance setting will not be recognized. As near as I can tell, when you chose the 'as shot' setting for white balance, the Adobe software performs it's own auto white balance. I took some shots outdoors with the camera set to tungsten white balance. They of course were very blue on the camera's monitor. When open in PS the color was perfectly balanced. The Nikon software works perfectly well with the D2X, but it is still agonizingly slow on my Mac. Supposedly Adobe is working with Nikon to fix this glich."
The first thing I would do is make sure you are using the latest version of Adobe raw converter (version 3.1 and see if that works.

Oh I'll encrypt my raw data....and then I be the only company mad enough to SELL the conversion sofware... this should make me wildly popular... afterall, Photoshop is not that popular anyway....." |

... or force you to tweak the WB in the ACR for every picture. Ugh!

To the best of my knowledge, only the D2X has encrypted WB, not the D70

Actually, I tried tweeking the WB and it doesn't work. It'sreally a question of imges looking more "yellow". I also tried playing with the tint to no avail. :-(
I guess my workflow will stay with Nikon Capture fo now. That sucks.
