I want to thank everyone for their comments on my photos from my first shoot. In case you missed it, here is a link to that thread:

First official model shoot with Alien Bees

Well, I had my second shoot this week, and I just wanted to see what opinions you had on these. Enjoy!

My favorite. Nice collection.

I agree with cloudsme on his favourite. Overall excellent work.

Can I ask what aperture/shutter you were using? I might be imagining it, but one or two look a little soft?

I can tell you right now that they were all 100 ISO, 1/125 shutter speed, daylight white balanced. The f-stop changed obviously. I will look those up later when I have time. Just to clarify, they were all determined by my light meter and strobe light intensity. I love that thing! Recommend them to everyone. I used either one or two Alien Bees for these. 1- 400 and 1- 800. Thanks for the responses.

Fabulous job with these Jeff!

My only gripe would be that the models are wearing too much makeup. They are absolutely beautiful, they have nothing to hide, so they should take some of that dust and paint off and let what is natural glow.

That being said, your composition and use of skill was practically flawless. I wish I had half of your skill with portraiture (38% and rising, woohoo!).

Edit: Ack! Spelling

Man, I'm speechless... these are FANTASTIC! Great work - I hope to follow in your footsteps! Did you use the 50mm f/1.8 for all of them? What aperture range did you end up with?

Awesome work!!!!

Gorgeous models!

Great collection. I like this one the most,

but anyway I'm a sucker for those black backgrounds.

Ok guys, I posted the aperture setting on all the individual photos. Just click to view them and all the information should be there. My aperture ranged all the way from 13 to 3.5. Whatever it takes to get the job done. If there is still something you want to know, just ask. Oh, and I shot them all in RAW. There is no way I would ever do a shoot like this in jpeg.

As for the comments on makeup...I had no control over that. While I was shooting one model, the other one would get changed for the next series. I just shot them as they came out. But I do see where you are coming from.

OK, this is one last attempt to get some more crtiques before I focus on my next shoot. Thanks to everyone so far.

hey jeff, the lighting is great but from my view as a woman, many of the shots aren't all that flattering to the women. The blonde girl is missing a neck in a few shots. You've got the hardest part down - the lighting.
