I can't find it, but i think there was a challenge suggestion somewhere earlier about a 'nature' challenge. I think this would be a great idea... The shot must be totally nature. No man made objects or cultivation in the photo...
Title: Nature Minus Man
Comment: Take your best photograph outdoors in nature. Your photo may NOT include any man made objects or signs of human intervention in the photograph.

true .. I was not here at that time .. I would probably have said the same. But I like the idea... and even ifit's nitpicky ...that could be fun like ... 'oh .. I see a pole in the distance ... human made .. -3' ...
But I comment the suggestions .. but actually ... I am fine with tevery theme ... :-)

City life would have stumped me too. Now, the nature thing, I can handle. I have my coice of corn, corn, or corn. Oh...and then there's corn. LOL.
I like the idea.

Can't shoot corn - its all cultivated. Not untouched at all, so wouldn't be
a suitable entry. See what I mean now ? :)

Outside of very limited areas of certain National Parks, this challenge will be impossible to meet in North America and Europe.

| I live in the city during the college school year and we had a similar assignment for class last year. We're not limited to only landscapes and I'm sure there is plenty of nature related subjects within the city... unless your city is ENTIRELY paved and everything is made out of concrete and bricks. Do you have grass and trees and flowers, etc in your city? Even though the city I live in during the year is surrounded by farmlands and such and the fact that I have my choice of pretty nature stuff in Sudbury, we (60 of us) all still managed a nature picture. Suck it up!! |

Suck it up? Suck it up? from someone who didn't even bother to read the idea. It doesn't ask for a "nature" picture, it asks for one that shows no human intervention. NONE of your pretty "nature" shots of grass and trees and flowers would qualify.
Please try to understand what you are talking about before throwing things in our face.
