Hi Guys,
The problem I am experiencing with my D70 is the following:

On shutterspeeds slower than 1/8 the mirror does not lock up all te way, causing the bottom half of the pic too be dark, too almost black. This does not happen all the time, but freqeuntly enough too really p#@@ me off!
Except for that, no problems so far.
Hope my local technician can fix it, seeing that I bought it in NYC in Dec. 2004, and are now living back in South Africa again. (Dont think my warranty will mean Doody here)

Does anyone else experience similar problem?
P.S.
All my lenses are Nikon DX so no cause of problem there.

I'd guess that you have something getting in the way, a good clean should hopefully sort it

thanx for the advice, I pray that this is the problem.
Also it seems that I am the only one having this dilemma.

//www.nikonians.net for the NIkon Forum.

There have been reports of just this type of thing, but I cannot remember the details as it was so long ago that I frequented that location.
