Have a look at this guy's work, he specializes in retouching your portrait pics. You take the pic, he does the photoshop thing.

We always knew they weren't like in the magazines, didn't we? LOL

Sorry, but I'm not keen on a number of those - very overly plastic looking.

now its easier to explain to people why their favourite moviestars or singers dont look the same as they were on TV or posters.

Maybe, but did you see the way he reshaped their asses and flattened their stomachs?? Forget Pilates! LOL

I agree that some of them are over-plasticized... but some of his retouches look very good as well. Impressive.

Wow...some of those were just plain awful pictures to begin with...but some of them didn't need anything other than a simple boost in brightness, contrast, and saturation! But no...must reshape everything and make them look "perfect." And yet perfect = plastic ??? *exhasperated sigh*

EDIT: And why do all of the girls (since they're all Black/African American) end up with ORANGE skin? Since when does having dark skin make it ORANGE? o.O

I think he maybe going for golden glow look, I am dark skined(though not "Black/African American") and know that it can end up looking dingy in pics especially without having looks of warm lighting, so That maybe where he's going with that. They don't all seem orange but a few seem over done. It's pretty cool though, I've been trying to figure out how to do some of that in Ps for a while with no luck.

Some of those pictures in the before scream, "I'm a man, baby" haha. Oh well, that's pretty interesting to see though.

Wow - there's one shot in which he gives a woman a butt lift and removes a couple of ribs

Perhaps more impressive is what you can do without photoshop.

I think she looked much better before, except for the nice sun-glow he gave her.

Wow, the photoshop is really impressive here...

It's clear I will never ever ever ever do model photography. There's just no realness there and the standards get set higher and higher until nothing but some plastic form of perfection is accepted.

Most are good improvements.

I guess plastic surgery can be painless with Photoshop!!! for the model that is...

Seems like quite a bit of the retouching could have been eliminated by closer attention to lighting, makeup, and set/costuming...
But that would have meant work.....

I agree. That's what sent me to look at the services he offers. He does not take photos....in fact, he doesn't even scan them! He is only doing photo re-touching. Perhaps some of these women are simply wives giving their hubbies a treat...nothing like being your SO's calendar girl!

I met a girl last year who's one of the top retouchers in north america. To quote her "the better known a photographer is, the more retouching they do". Can't remember her name, tho..french girl..she has an awesome book out with the PPOC.

//glennferon.com.nyud.net:8090/portfolio1/portfolio14.html

Vivica A Fox, his over processing doesn't make her look like her anymore.

Looking at some of the mag covers he did. I think it's going a bit too far.
