Skip, you rock! I notice a new moniker under your name here as well--upgraded did we?

On another topic, looking at the POTD display: doesn't anyone think it's a bit funny that to the "average" passerby, the display gives the impression that Skip used something "Kodak" to produce this fine shot? I mean, I don't see it say he shot it with a Canon; in fact, it's used in conjunction with an ad for their cameras!

Yes, but of course as we all know Kodak POTD winners, ALL use Kodak paper when printing at home. RIGHT?

It's great PR for everyone involved.

Congrats!

I have a quick couple of questions for anyone that might know (hint: photog's that have had images selected)...

If your image gets selected for display, does Kodak contact you somehow to let you know? How far in advance?

Thanks!

Congratulations, Skip! It's a rush! The funny thing is, after I got my Kodak POTD, friends finally believed that I became a "serious" photographer. One friend even asked whether I got a contract with Kodak and became a pro :)

Enjoy!!

TacoVendor: Kodak editor does send an e-mail notification 2-3 weeks in advance (in my case). Don't know if the time frame is always the same, though.

yes, you are usually contacted several days to several weeks in advance of when you're shot will be featured. I thought at firstthat they notified you about July images sometime in June, but that has not always been the case. In any event, it is usually at least a few days before the image will appear (and usually more).
