What a sad situation... our freedom to just live in peace being compromised like this... ! Hope you are all going to be okay.

Your local AM "news radio" station would be a good place to start. The most up to date info would come from a police scanner, but I doubt you have access to one, and of course you're not going to run out and buy one just now ;-)

A google search on scanner frequencies and the name of your town or county should get you the frequencies.

all the frequencies are just static...its my understanding they now use encrypted ones...

I don't do RealAudio Player so I can't verify but here is a link to the on-line NJ Police Scanner NJ.com

I'm assuming there is no relation to your situation and this story:

Be safe.

I was around that area of NJ yesterday and heard that the road was closed due to some powerlines that were down. I didn't hear anything about a bomb though... I'm curious about what really happened.

I'm still very curious too buzzmom... What happened? I looked for it in the news all over the place, but came up with nothing.

the end result is that the store in question had been sold...the people taking over the property found boxes marked dangerous explosives and put them in a dumpster where they were found....every agency in nj responded within minutes including i believe the dog pound....the office of weapons of mass destruction to the local dpw....they had air sensor robots and the entire shabang...in the end thank god nothing...

thank you everyone for your concern and help...i am still here and still as wacky as ever...and still no threat to anyone who regularly scores above a 5.0...however look out you 4.8 folks i feel a surge in my scoring comming on!!!!
