Geese well I am gonna miss this one we just had a DPC meet there.
I gotta alot of great shots too

| Me too. No zoos here; something you might "see" at a zoo broadens that but I think will be scored down. |

We got two here Neil, I'll be a sport and go to one for you...Actually we got the nite time thing going on where they are open til 10. Thank heavens I'm a member (and no not that kind).
Seriously though...you don't have an animal park of any type in your area...even petting zoo, reptile park (ask to borrow a boa at the pet store) or likes around. My work is a zoo... I think that would even work.

nearest zoo to me is 4 hours away. So, unless one of the wild critters around my house (coyote, wolf, bear, deer, moose) come around I'll be sitting out too.

Can I cheat and go to the game preserve? We don't have a zoo within about an hour... I guess philly is the closest.

It's pretty cold here right now (by South African standards anyway) and the cold weather has already made me sick. So I'll have to see how my health and the weather are by the weekend. Otherwise I'll have to sit this one out :(

| Now I'm really glad I renewed my San Diego Zoo memberships! now I just have to get there. It's too bad this is due on the weekend I might still make it though. |

| We're probably gonna see a surge of entry coming in late Saturday and into Sunday as many peoples will go to the Zoos on the weekend. |

if i enter it won't be a zoo photo - there aren't any in vermont that i know of.
i'd like to enter a photo of some mucking fonkeys ;}

| aww I just went to the San Diego Wild Animal Park a few days ago. Good thing I also bought an annual pass to both the zoo and the animal park that day :) Now to just go there again. |

Here's a thought beings as there will be so many at the SanDag Zoo or WAP or both, someone could enter a pic of a fellow DPCer in the In the Zoo challenge... Someone might even be lucky enough to catch the illusive BradP at work...

Soup, I don't know where in vermont you live, but if you live near canada there is a beautifull zoo very near the Vermont border. It's the granby zoo and I MAY be there wednesday shooting my first blue...

| I live in TN and the ZOO in Nashville sucks! I think that we have 4 animals. I am going to SF, California on the 18th! Darn it!!! |

we took the kids to the zoo while on vacation the end of June...not one near hear either..drove 6 hours to that one...maybe I can try "outside the box", as long as I'm prepared for the low scores and comments about not meeting the challenge, hehe

When people think of a zoo they generally think of the animals but there are other things which can also be found in other places. Think of the food vendors or the play areas for the children.

thats true but you know with the way the voting goes if you put a vendor or a play thats in the park it better be a creative shot cause you know you have a low vote coming.

So basically, it might as well be an "animal" challenge, because I'm sure that is all that will score well. Now . . . to go hunt down the animals. There is a zoo here, if you call having a reindeer and a few birds in a cage!
