Yes, cool site. Thanks for posting. I think I'm also immune. When I was little my friend and I would always play in the same area and she would get poison ivy and I wouldn't. I've never had it.

AHh poison ivy. I've learned over the years to stear clear. Once, when I was younger, I told my friend while we were in the woods to stay away from the plants over there because they were poison ivy. He didn't believe me. I told him to roll around in it then. Of course he did. Two days later, for our little league game, he couldn't even play, his face was so swelled up he couldn't see out of his eyes. He said it was one of the most painful things he's ever been through (and I once witnessed him get hit by a 40mph car -- he was a big kid).

Then, to top that story off, we were near the woods the next year with me, him and his sister. I told them AGAIN that a certain plant was poison ivy. They didn't believe me, so I told his sister to rub it on her face. She did. Well, she was much more allergic than her brother, she ended up being hospitalized for a day or two -- no lie!

I still can't figure out why their parents didn't like me. It's not like it was my fault, you know?

Thanks for the link saracat. I'd like to see some of these people who say they are immune roll around in it.

Did you know that just because you are immune now, doesn't mean you will be immune forever?

You can gain and/or lose immunity to poison ivy.
