I believe the interpretation of the term "transportation" was too "ad litteram".

Let's see what the dictionary says:

trans·por·ta·tion

1.The act or an instance of transporting.
2.The state of being transported.
3.A means of conveyance.
4.The business of conveying passengers or goods.
5.A charge for public conveyance; fare.
6.Deportation to a penal colony.

As you can see, the word "transportation", in English, stands for far more things than a mere mean of transportation as most of the pictures submitted show.

Hence I believe that it would have suited this theme pictures like: a person carrying a load (the act of transporting); someone who is daydreaming (is "transported"); the river transporting the ducks (my case)and of course means of transportation but this is so obvious.//www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=19796
