Here's a tutorial on digital editing basics and some pretty good tricks.

Hey Ray, nicely done. How's it going?

VERY nice tutorial. I recommend it to anyone who wants a click overview of the basics. Even learned a little trick myself, the alt-slide for black and white points.

The only thing I'd change is the page layout - it doesn't fit on my screen and I'm not scrolling back and forth 45 times to read it.

I agree. The page width makes it very annoying to read. I tried it on my large monitor and same thing. Good info though.

Edit: All edits below this line are for typos on the tutorial pages (they annoy me even more):
In the levels section:
Here, we are going to explain to our computer what area of this image is BACK and what area of this image is WHITE.

In the Secret Technique paragraph:
(YES, you picture will disappear), ***Also the figure (L5)for this is not positioned properly. It is above the text by three paragraphs on the two monitors I am looking at it on right now***

Underneath the side by side images showing one click:
The original does not look nearly so good now, does it? Now, do you see why prople like me just so darned much?

In the gray eye dropper section:
CNTL-Z (That’s UNDO, THE most used ***The generally accepted abbreviation for the control key is CTRL not CNTL

In the color section you call it Hue and Brightness but it is actually Hue and Saturation.

Thank you thank you thank you! I love this alt-Slide stuff. I had previously used the DPC tutorial that uses layers and slides the threshold around, but this is MUCH quicker and smoother.

Ray, thank you very much for that awesome tutorial! I thought that I knew a little about photoshop, but every time I turn around, I learn something new that is so simple, yet so useful also. Thanks!

I guess I can't determine if this is a serious post over three typo's.

SO:

1) If this is a joke: Ha, ha, ha! you got me ! Ignore line two.

2) If this is serious: I saw your portfolio, you should focus on the tutorial.

It's just there to help people, that's all.
Thank you for your input.

Your tutorial page doesn't fit my browser, it has typos and you aren't exactly Heida on this site yet. Enjoy your day.
