We made a road trip on Saturday to Chimney Rock in Western North Carolina.

Those shots of the falls are incredible... Any chance you'll share shutter speed / aperture /ISO info?

The Falls 04 shot is the lower section of the falls... This part is at the bottom of a 404' drop. The first three shots are from the top...

Those are great, John. Do you have a shot take from Chimney Rock of the vantage point from which you took the first photos?

I do but they aren't nice photos... that part of the mountain and stairs was not eye appealing...

For any of you that have seen the movie "The Last of the Mohicans", the top of the falls is where the biggest fight scene was filmed. Most of the movie was filmed in the park somewhere. Part of it was in Lake James.

Thanks -- that's a cool view. I know of a west coast version of "stairs from..." at the Pt. Reyes Lighthouse in Marin County -- one straight shot of (I think) about 300 steps, but it's not quite as precipitous!

If I could be just a tad more invasive, were you (or do you normally) shot in Aperture priority, Shutter Priority, Full Auto, or Full Manual?
