This has nothing to do with photos, but...
What happens if you plug somebody else's iPod onto your computer? Does it update that iPod with all your songs in iTunes? Does it dump all the iPod's songs into your music library?
Just curious.
Thanks for any input.

That depends on how the preferences are set on the computer

| It'll usually pop up a message that says something about replacing all your songs with the songs that are on the computer. You can set it through iTunes to ask before it does such things. |

| It will NOT copy the iPod's music to the computer. Apple has specifically disallowed that (though you can get past it with 3rd party software). As MK said, it will throw up a warning that this iPod has not been synced with this computer previously and will warn you that if you proceed, you will lose all the music that is on that iPod. |

You've gotta be really really careful or you will lose all the music. I just ran into this about two weeks ago- not fun (especially if the hard drive containing all the music from the ipod has been wiped!!!)
Edit: If you want software for copying the music off, I can give you a link to the one program that worked for me.
