Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday! and not for the presents..for all the color when nature provides so very little in the winter. i would love to see a challenge like this at this time of year.there are alot of stores here that do "christmas in july" sales too.

Title: Christmas
Description: take a photo of something related to the joys of Christmas time (such as lights,presents,decorations,christ..etc)

i just took this photo the other day and it gave me the idea to suggest this as a challenge...what do you all think of this one?(Challenge)

First I hate christmas and everything about it. Second Christmas has absolutely NOTHING to do with Christ. Just my opinion but once a year is plenty IMO.

Don't get me wrong but and so not to be discriminative I don't like kids, babies, flowers and hate cats even more.

true although it is winter here now. LOL. Alot of people have christmas in July just so they can have a white christmas. Me personally i dont like that idea. Christmas shouldnt be a twice a year thing to be cool or trendy. If aussies wanted a white christmas, go to somewhere it snows.
( i can feel my butt being slapped by aussies everywhere) LOL

bah humbug!i mistakenly thought there were alot of other people who loved christmas as much as i did...my fault. next time i think i have a unique and cool idea for some energetic photos I'll just keep them to myself. ;)

i just love everything about christmas..the lights, music, giving to others and most importantly the candle light christmas eve service at my local church.

edit to suggest making it this:
Title: Bah Humbug

You are correct that NOW it really doesn't have a lot to do with Christ, but that is because we have become such a money hungry, commericalized world that we have pushed His birth to the background and forgot the real reason for the celebration. There are still many (including myself) that don't let the ecomomy dictate my Christmas belief. If you want it to have something to do with Christ you have to make sure it deals with Christ.

I hope you really don't hate all those things that would be a really sad life.

Oh and smilebig4me you know being from where you (and I) are from (KY) it would be a piece of cake getting shots of Christmas lights since they never take them down around here lol.

sooo true..once the lights go up the become a permanete fixture and a "decorative" item. my mother in law put white Christmas lights up in her flower garden just the other day! but she does take down all the lights she puts up for the holiday.

Sabphoto, do you live in Ft. Knox, KY????? I used to live there when I was a teenager, and I fell in LOVE with Kentucky. It's one of the most beautiful states of the whole bunch!!! I think I still have a "Texas scenery depression" from leaving there :). . . . not to change the subject (sorry).

No I actuall live...now here's were it gets confusing so follow along...in Waukegan, Illinois (Naval Base) during the week. My wife and step-daughter live in Georgetown, KY (by Lexington) and I go there every weekend so I also list it as home. I too love KY.

I am originally from Colorado and never thought I'd live anywhere else, then I found KY and wow. I still miss CO a lot (especially around the fall and Christmas) but love KY with all its rolling hills and horse farms and barns.

Been down near smilebig4me1x's neck of the woods once a long time ago while going to GA but never out your way.

Maybe when I get more than a weekend I can see more of the state (fingers are crossed) :)

Yes. Christmas I don't do but I find myself doing special things for people during the year whih they would not normally have or get. This way I get to see the look of suprise on their faces and don't have to do christmas. Christmas always sucked which is why I don't do christmas, birthdays, easter or any other holiday.

Kids & babies annoy me and I just don't have the tolerance for them. Don't get me wrong but I would love to have kids but ould NEVER change a diaper. When it comes to that I have a VERY weak stomach. Funny enough I can watch omeone being killed and it doesn't bother me in the slightest but pooh just drops me like a rock (which is why I don't have a dog).

Cats I find are even worse then kids always crying for attention. If there not yours then they tend to sit outside your window meowing into all hours of the night and no matter how often you chase them off they just keep coming back.

There is a lot of things in life I like such as making poeple happy for no reason. I also like women and seeing people in love. I like cars, buildings, sunrise/sunsets and going places that aren't easily accessable and these of course are just to name a few.

actually Cristmas has NEVER had anything to do with Christ, this holiday was celebrated 2000 years before Christ, and it was on the 22. december, the day after the shortest day of the year, it was a tribute to the sun and the days getting longer, the Church stole this holiday and made it their own only a few hundred years ago, and it really had nothing to do with the birth of Jesus, he was born in march, and that has been proven.

so Christmas holiday is actually a holiday for those who worships the sun and the sungod RA.

and living in Iceland.. I really like Christmas when there is no snow :)
