Sigma do Nikon-mount lenses as well as Canon. It's not the Nikon version, is it? :-/

Example:

Canon mount
Nikon mount

It depends on the mount it has. Sigma lenses are made for different camera makes, each with a different mount.

Where did you buy it? Maybe you can exchange it for one with the correct mount.

thanks, not sure though, is there any way i can tell just by looking at it? codes? they must have sent the wrong one, the mount ring is too small. Does that sound right?

If you go to the Nikon link above and click on the pic to make it bigger it shows you what I believe is the Nikon connectors (rounded pins sticking out). As you'll know, Canon's mount has flat connectors on the lens and the pins on the camera. I'd just ring up who you got it from...

i've tryed to phone them but no answer, i emailed them but no reply yet. looking at the pics on the link it shows i have the correct canon lens but the mount is just too small (the lens will not lock in place.

Thanks for the help, I'll just keep trying to phone karlu ltd again tomorrow.

Down at the bottom of the link provided is a spot to specify mount. It is defaulted to Sigma. Did you not specify before buying?
