With all the complaining in the forums these days ("I shoulda scored higher", "how come no-one got my picture?", "dumb comments" etc etc) we seem to be forgetting the good stuff.

I want to commend the high quality of entries last week ("My Corner...") and to particularly congratulate the winner who took a fabulous photograph that really showed me a view that I would not otherwise have seen.

Bravo -- Bravo. I agree jakking, there were many many great photos last week. By the way, I rated your Cafe Society in my top ten and really liked the composition very much.

Alan, I'm surprised your photo didn't score higher. You were in my top 10.

Thanks Arni -- I was very happy to make it to the top 30 (with my highest scoring photo ever at DP!). I'm enjoying this site very much, and don't really worry too much about my overall score and placing. I tend to view this more as a 'personal' competition and try to beat my 'current best' score.

To continue this general thread -- Hey, Arni...your photo was in my top ten! (really)

I am very honored with your comments and congratulations. The result was especially satisfying for me since I spent morning after morning chasing an elusive sun light that I was sure would have to hit that mountain sooner or later, but of course I had to have clouds in my morning sky, and those same clouds were covering my sunlight. Finally, the last day, there was a clearing between the clouds, a 30 seconds chance at it, and I was right there, waiting for it.

Thanks a lot to all those great photographers who gave this week to me, when so many of them were equally deserving.
